Sunny came into our rescue in July of 2024, suffering from severe diarrhea and chronic vomiting. At 4 months old he weighed barely 2lbs and could NOT keep anything down. After a long and difficult journey to find answers, he was officially diagnosed with severe inflammatory bowel disease through biopsies. Over the past year, Sunny has been hospitalized in the ICU through the emergency room multiple times, with each visit ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

Sunny continues to require ongoing veterinary and emergency care as we work to better understand his condition, manage his symptoms, and keep him as comfortable as possible. Some days are brighter than others, but through it all, Sunny shows incredible strength and resilience. He still leans into love. He still plays. He still purrs. And as long as he is still trying, so will we!

His care includes frequent follow up appointments, medications, diagnostics, procedures, and supportive treatments that give him the best chance at stability and comfort. These needs come with significant costs, but they are essential to ensure that Sunny is not just surviving, but truly living and feeling his best. He is supported by a dedicated team of specialists, including nutritionists, internal medicine veterinarians, and his regular veterinary providers.
